Jenn is an Enrolled Agent, a credential she has held for more than 18 years. An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a federally licensed tax professional and is authorized to practice in all 50 states because the EA credential is issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, not by any individual state. This federal licensing gives EAs unlimited practice rights before the IRS, meaning they can represent taxpayers in any state on matters such as audits, collections, appeals, and tax filings.  EAs earn this credential by passing a comprehensive three-part examination covering all areas of taxation. It is the highest credential the IRS awards. Enrolled Agents specialize in tax preparation, tax planning, and taxpayer representation, and they are required to complete ongoing continuing education to maintain their status.

In addition to her EA credential, Jenn holds the Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP) designation through the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation.
